Hi there again,
I’m not sure whether it’s been vanity or just a general unease at revealing too much of myself, but I haven’t really posted many pictures on this blog of how my teeth look now in the context of my whole face. Hopefully this post will remedy that!
You’ll have to believe me when I tell you that I selected this first picture very carefully- in reality I am far more wrinkly than you can see here! This picture was taken whilst out and about so I am actually wearing my Invisalign braces although you can’t see them in the picture…
This second picture (much more wrinkly- yuck!) shows my teeth in profile and how they are now lining up quite nicely. As you can see I no longer look nearly as “goofy” as I did before Invisalign.
Just to give a little contrast, this is a picture of me full face, before Invisalign. If you look closely you can see how my front teeth stick forward…. It’s no wonder this is my only wedding photo where you can see my teeth!
And of course, just to remind me why I started this whole thing… Here are my teeth in all their close up glory just before I started Invisalign….
As I’ve said before, when I see my teeth as they were then I am only amazed that I ever left the house at all!
Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what
I wrote aand say, I’m thorouguly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog bloggter but I’m still new to
the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for rookie blog writers?
I’d really appreciate it.
Hi, great blog. but you already know that and you already nkow how helpful your blog is too all the people that are interested in invisalign. but can you please give us an update :).
cheers
Hi there, the change in your pictures is amazing!
I am on my first set of 14 top and 13 bottom. I am freaking out a little bit because I have to strain my lips and chin to close over the aligners. Did you notice that? My chin muscle is more prominent and a few friends have scared me into thinking it will stay that way!!!
Another thing I notice in your pics up until now (I have read all your entries from the beginning!)is that it looks like you back teeth do not touch (occlude) when you have your aligners out, is that the case of just the way it looks in the pictures? What has your orthodontist said about your occlusion at the end of treatment?
Sorry for the silly questions!!! My ortho hasn’t responded to my questions as he is out of town currently!
Thanks!
Thank you Sherry! I am pretty thrilled with them so far too, although I still have a long way to go on the bottom arch. You can’t see it when I smile but I still have a lower premolar that is pushed out sideways from the rest of my teeth across the bottom of my mouth. Still, it is slowly starting to look better too.
So glad to hear that you are already seeing an improvement. It’s so motivating to actually see things moving around isn’t it… Good luck with the rest of your treatment-almost one third there already-and thanks so much for reading.
Your teeth look amazing!!! It makes me feel so much better for choosing invisalign when I get to see other peoples progress. I am currently on tray #9 out of 35 upper and lower, my overbite is very severe but I have already seen significant improvement! I can hardly wait to be done and have a perfect smile! =]
Thanks Kyla, it’s pretty exciting to see them looking so much better. Every now and then I nitpick and find things that still aren’t perfect yet so it does me good to go back and look at the before Invisalign pictures.
Looking awesome! You should be really proud of yourself for taking the leap to do it. 🙂
